Hi Joh !!
It's been a while. We're having a spot of excitement here in South Florida. We are still waiting out the latest news on the anthrax scare. I live much too close for comfort.

This is a link to a photo of Andy, my new cat.
This is a link to a photo of Aaron playing tympany drums at a band competition.

Andy's a cutie! Welcome to the fold, Andy!
I see there are flutes in the picture with Aaron.
How did the band do in the competition?

fan, Aaron's school, Iroquois High School, placed 4th of 4 bands in the open class. This is the first year that Iroquois has had a large enough band to compete in the open class.
The band that took 1st place was from Kiski High School just outside of Pittsburgh. I confess I don't know why on Earth they traveled a good 3 hours to attend a competition all the way up here. They were exceptionally good, though, and it was a treat to see them perform. I've seen college bands that performed worse.
Andy is settling in but hasn't quite adapted to my sleep schedule. He woke me at 5 a.m. on Sunday morning and 3 a.m. this morning! I'm hoping he catches on soon as I was very sleepy in class this morning as a consequence of his middle of the night activities.
On another topic, I finally have upgraded my RAM and installed a new 3.5" floppy drive. Both of these tasks have been on my to-do list for far too long. I've been without a working floppy drive for more than a year, and it's been a real PITA. I get tired of taking disks into work or school so that I can mail myself the files on them.
Next on the wish list: a CD burner!

What kind of computer do you have Bee? I have a CD-Burner that doesn't work well with my system, perhaps I can make it affordable for you. It is a good solid burner, HP external. Let me know if you are interested.

AsIs, thanks for the offer! I have a 3 yr old Compaq with an AMD K-6/300MHz cpu. What other info do you need to know to figure out whether it's compatible?

Bee, go to your Control Panel and click on System.
Select the Device Manager tab and click on Display adapters and let me know which display adapter you have.
